Chiropractic

Chiropractic is manual and instrument approach to helping patients have relief and allow their body to function optimally. My goal is to identify irritated areas in the spine where the nerves could be interfered with, trapped and resulting in a physical problem. Nerves allow the brain to communicate with the skin, the muscles and the organs, so any of these systems can be impacted from an irritated nerve. As a Chiropractor I use spinal manipulations to align the spine, restoring normal joint motion, opening up the spaces where the nerves exit and relieves the physical problem and pain. Some of the techniques that are used to adjust the spine include: Full Spine, Thompson Drop Table, Activator, Active Release, CBP, and SOT. There are also adjustments specific for extremities, such as shoulder, knee, wrists, and ankles. There are many ways to do the job, and it is important to be comfortable with the adjustment, so I find the best adjustment type for your body.
Allergy Elimination
Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques, also known as NAET, is a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to relieve allergies of all types, using a unique balance of acupressure, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine. A person with mild allergies may take about 5-20 office visits to desensitize food and environmental allergens. Basic essential nutrients that have high levels of allergy in the population are treated during the first few visits. Chemicals, environmental allergens, vaccinations, immunizations, etc. are treated after completing basic essential nutrients. NAET has shown success in resolving adverse reactions to egg, milk, peanuts, penicillin, aspirin, shellfish, latex, grass, ragweed, flowers, perfume, animal dander and saliva, chemicals, cigarette smoke, pathogens, heat, cold, other environmental allergies. It may take several office visits to desensitize a severe allergen depending on the patient’s immune system. Patients ranging from newborns to elderly can benefit from this treatment.

Nutrition and Supplements
Remember when your mother would say ‘You are what you eat’, well she could not have been more right! The secret to great health is having the right nutrition. When you can eat nutritious foods without discomfort and absorb their nutrients properly, then that food is great nutrition for you. The body best consumes nutrition in "real food" with minimal or no processing. Indigestion, bloating, or other digestive troubles upon eating certain foods give an indication that you are not absorbing and assimilating that food properly and is not helping you function normally. This can result in sluggish digestion and interferes with the ability to gain or lose weight.
1. My first step in your nutritional optimization is getting the gut working better, moving food and waste better and absorbing the nutrition your body needs.
2. My next step in your nutritional optimization is helping you achieve the best body weight and body composition for you. This may involve testing of things like saliva, urine, or blood, but that is not always necessary. This will likely require a change in diet and lifestyle, there is no pill you can take to give you perfect health. I will be your partner in the journey to the best you.
3. Additional supplementation on a short-term basis may be taken to yield faster results. If you happen to be allergic to the nutritional supplements you are taking, this can actually make you feel worse. Once we clear specific supplement allergies, your body can absorb and assimilate the nutrition.
You can begin the process with a nutritional optimization consultation. I will map out a plan for you and be there for you every step of the way. Start by scheduling a New Patient Nutrition Appointment.

Dry Needling for Trigger Points and Muscle Spasms
This treatment uses the same needles that are used in acupuncture. The difference is acupuncture is based on balancing energy in the body while dry needling treats painful trigger points and muscles that are in spasm or chronically tight. The goal is to relieve pain and relax spasms that are causing dysfunction in the body. This also restores the natural flow of fluids that run through the body and in turn promotes healing and well-being.
Like acupuncture, dry needling works on various conditions. But is it safe? Yes, it is generally safe. People with heart conditions or on blood thinners should avoid it, though. Upon undergoing the treatment you may experience a little soreness and slight bruising on the treated points, or perhaps some dizziness, but this quickly subsides. Side-effects are very rarely experienced. Overall, dry needling is very good for many health conditions.
