Dr. Guin was born in San Diego, California. Her family lived in numerous states prior to moving to Georgia in 1984 where she lived in the Lilburn area until 1995.

Upon graduation from Brookwood High School, she joined the United States Navy where she was a Nuclear Mechanical Engineer for six years. During this time she received two Navy Achievement Medals and multiple Letters of Commendation.  While in the Navy, she was honored to be able to serve her country; however, she knew that she had a calling to promote health and wellbeing in her community.

Upon being honorably discharged from the Navy, she began her undergraduate degree at North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega, GA. In 2004, Dr. Guin graduated with honors with a Bachelor's in biology.  During her last year at NGCSU, Dr. Guin had been in search of which field to specialize in when she hurt her neck. Her sister recommended she visit her Chiropractor. Shortly after beginning chiropractic care, she realized this was her calling.

She began at Life University in Marietta, GA and graduated Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2009. During her time at Life University, she was a sister in Alpha Delta Upsilon and received a cycling scholarship to road race for the school.

A defining moment in her life was when she became pregnant with her daughter Layla shortly after beginning the doctorate program. It was at this time when leaving school would have been the “road more traveled."  Dr. Guin made the best decision of her life: to continue her education and become the chiropractor that she is today. She states that she could not have done this without the continued support of her husband, David Bennett, and she continues to cherish every day since she met him. Since that day, David and their children, Layla and Dempsey, have lived the Chiropractic life.

Dr. Guin continues to be an avid cyclist, is involved with her daughter’s after-school activities, and enjoys being involved with Life University. She has considerable first-hand experience caring for people who have been injured in automobile accidents, sport’s related injuries, and those with chronic overuse conditions.

Dr. Guin currently is teaching in the Master's Occupational Therapy Program at Tennessee State University.  Teaching has been a long-term goal of her since she first gained experience in it while in the Navy.  She continues to have a passion for serving patients and has intentions of always having patient hours.  While in the office, Dr. Guin utilizes various adjusting techniques specific to patient preferences to ensure all have a great experience with Chiropractic. She is also skilled in extremity adjusting.

Having been a sports enthusiast all her life, the passion for health that Dr. Guin has runs deep.  She looks forward to promoting health in her community, cycling regularly, and influencing all age groups. She became a chiropractor to bring her patients to a higher level of functioning and achieve optimum health, and she is excited about bringing this passion to her community.
